Move & New Career: How Does It Affect WC Distributions & Settlement?
My WC claim is in Illinois. Having been on TTD for nearly two years and not being accommodated by my employer for my doctor's imposed MMI restrictions, I am interested in a career in a new profession. Opportunities in this field are better in a different part of the country, so I would benefit by moving there as soon as possible. How would a move affect my current WC benefits and chances of a "speedy" settlement, if at all?

The move will have no effect on speeding up a settlement. I do not believe your benifits would change at all. However; I think you would have difficulty finding a dr. in the new state to handle your medical needs.
Just my oppinion. Take Care 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |
