My husband received a letter yesterday that they scheduled him a dr appt next month. The letter states they do not have enough information about his condition to show he is eligible. Is this normal? He has approx 900 pages of medical records all from the accident. He doesn't really have any since MMI other than the pain mgmt dr he's been to once and has done all refills by phone every 10 days. We do have the IME report and the work history report from that evaluation should be in by his appt next month. These are dr's his attorney has sent him too proving permanent total disability. Should he take medical records to this appt? The dr is with a Advanced Physical Therapy group so maybe they need for someone to "visually" see his condition.

My daughter is in the hospital with complications from a appendectomy and has been for 2 1/2 weeks. Her insurance ends the end of January when she turns 26. I may be needing to carry her cobra coverage for a few months till she is able to return to work so it would be nice if he was approved. He has another mediation next month as well. I let him know he's not to agree to less than he deserves because of money. I have managed so far and will continue to do so. I hope for the best but plan for the worst.

Recheck with the insurance company on your daughter's insurance stopping at age 26. We carry our daughter on my wifes insurance, she turned 26 this past July. The insurance is carrying her untill the age of 28, because of omaba care. Check with them again, as there is some law that may cause them to contiue to cover her. If you want you can send me a private message and I will talk to my wife to see what law allows my daughter to still be covered.

I would take everything with me. Meaning all medical records from all drs.. Contact the pm dr. and get a copy of the records in reference to the refills.

I recall when I was denied the first time. It was because they were not able to get the records from one of the drs.. I made sure they got them the second time.

The good news is the IME letter is not a denial of benefits. Read this for full info on why an IME is requested on a claimant. In short, it means there is not enough or recent medical evidence to support your claim. An example that occurs often is a claimant may put down depression as a medical condition but may not have a psychologist or psychiatrist report to support the diagnosis. Just saying.........
