Had deposition , don't understand it
My husband had a deposition today, WE are in Tennessee, The questions were nothing like what we thought. They asked him about other income, if he was getting any kind of assistance (public). If he used to do side jobs when he was working. why would they ask these questions, even if he has money or getting food stamps, why would that be any of there business?
and his attorney said they were seeing how good he would look before a judge or if they should try and settle. He was denied in the beginning, took it to labor board and won it is a work related injury that left him with a lot of restrictions, and he can no longer do the job or maybe no job. Does anyone know what the crazy questions about.

wages and earnings determine rate.
other employment may mean other liability.
depositions generate extra fees for defense atty; they don't have to mean anything.

A deposition is quite different than court testimony. Basically, they can ask you anything they want to, as long as it doesn't get intimately personal.

First of all, you should have posted a new thread to ask this, rather than "hijack" this one - no offense intended.

But, to answer your question, it's hard to say. I don't know anything about your case or your claim. Your attorney would be best able to anticipate whether you'd end up in a deposition or not.
