I just found out today that my attorney for 3 years stop working on my case back in 3-09. When I want to his office today he almost nows nothing about my case. and want me to settle so he can get paid and I get almot nothing in return

select another atty; they will take care of the paperwork. there will be a single fee shared among all your attys.

Depending upon State Law, as it can vary greatly, sometimes, the claimant (IW) can, through his/her AA (attorney) petition the Court to deny or limit attorney fees to the first attorney of record if it can be shown that no representation had been proffered.

Talk with another attorney and be up front with them about this.
