Travel Expenses for IME
Hope someone from Connecticut can answer this question.

I had to travel from TN to CT (where injury happened) for an exam by an IME selected and paid for my former employer.

It was approximately 1500 miles round trip with two nights in a hotel on the road. (In CT I stayed with family).

My attorney said the travel expenses are not reimbursed, but I see in other states the employer pays. I can't find anything at the CT state comp board website on this. Anybody know what the deal is in CT?

Thanks.

I'm not from connecticut but there is information about mileage rates for their work comp claims available.
or were you looking for something else?

Hi, not the rates, just wether or not they have to cover my costs to see their doctor (mileage, hotel, etc). Thanks.

I'm not sure why they would post the rates if you couldn't claim them.

They should pay. I would file without my Attorney's consent. I HAVE NEVER went through my Attorney for mileage reimbursement in my state.
