RE: MRI Results
Bummer, I Hope you are better today! I don't know what time period you have had these three sets of injection in, but be cautious on how many you have. I believe it's only three sets every 6mos. to a year, check with your Dr. The last thing you need right now is adding problems from too high of a steroid use! I go in next Saturday for more MRI's with/without contrast on both sides now, and if they don't find what they are looking for, a CT Myleogram. I'm telling you this because the Hospital called and said that with the Steroid shots I've had, plus having the Contrast Dye twice before, they need Blood work to check my Kidneys before I can have Dye again. Point being, sooner or later other complications can occur from having Tests and Dyes used, My Body stopped Producing Testerone because of the Chronic Pain, Steroids, and MRI's. Again another example. Just Please make sure you are very careful and you discuss with your Dr. long-term effects with what they are doing for You. I'm sorry to ramble, but I don't want you to end up like me with the complications coming too soon while they are trying to figure out your Problem!! Good Luck My Friend!!Wink

Thank you, that was new information, when I see the doctor I will talk to him about this. I have never been asked past injections before.

RE: MRI Results
Still In Limbo

I wanted to thank you again for making me aware of the complications of having 3 steriods in a short period.

My first steriod was Dec 06 in my knee, March 07 I had an injection in my hand by the same doctor and Friday was the steriod by epidural.

The MRI with contrast was April 07 and August 07.

The knee & hand injection was done by the same doctor and not once was I cautioned about the numer of injections I could have, and the same with the epidural.

When I see my PCP next week I will mention this post to him and get his response.

Bummer Knees
