Considering a career change
Hi All,

Well let's see, 3 yrs of college already, but...law school. Considering it, always leaned toward medical but law has always been in the background. Always tossed it around vs nursing school. I have an associates degree plus 18 credit hours that would transfer. I want to help injured workers but I find so many law offices lack, screw over clients or just don't give a cra%.. What do you say, I have the intelligence. My husband is happy with me being at home, financially we're doing pretty well. Most can be done online. But law school, so much liberal crap, don't know how much I could stand. Or should I just take care of my family. But it would be next August before I could start anything.

I just don't want to sit at home. I want a job or something..hubby wants me to be happy.

RE: Considering a career change
You would do good in law, think of the butt you would kick!!!

I do understand the not wanting to stay home that is why I am making some changes in my life.

An average week for me is 3 or 4 good or almost good days, the remainder are pain filled days or migraines. But I figure I can be productive on the good days so I am taking an online college class. Been asked to teach at a daycare but don't know how that would work with not knowing what type of day I will have tomorrow.

I wish I could work. I miss working. Being PTD and on SSDI is not the choice I wanted in Life.

I would go for whatever you desire. Life is Short; We know how to worry; It is time to enjoy happiness.

freebird when I have a good day I try to make the most of it cause they do not last.

An online class allows me to go at my own pace, the working part well I do not want to mess up the SSDI,

at the same time I would like to see if I can work starting a couple of half days a week,

RE: Considering a career change
I have been looking at the secret shopper thing...one of the ladies in our church does it..she works only when she wants to...she normally goes out to dinner a couple of days a week with her husband and to the movies with 12 children I couldnt understand how she could afford it....she secret shops it..her and her husband and sometimes one or more kids goes out to eat at really nice restaurants...not only does she get paid to do it but they pay her bill also...now thats my kind of job..

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
