Insurance approved one body part?
State of Virginia

I was hit on the head at work. My neck was also twisted in this accident. I'm being treated for neck pain with a neurologist and getting physical therapy.

The Insurance Adjuster approved only my head as being injured. She rejected my neck. Workmen's Compensation board awarded me lifetime medical benefits for my head only.

I'm wondering if I should request them to add the "neck" to the medical award.

Thanks.

RE: Insurance approved one body part?
what would happen differently once it's added? what would you gain?
you are already getting your neck covered.
it probably would not hurt to ask; the worst that could happen is they could say no.

RE: Insurance approved one body part?
Please have you neck checked out if you have not already done so by having an MRI of the cervical spine done.

I also have a neck injury, after the injury I have severe muscle spasms & headaches. A MRI showed a large herniation pressing on the nerve roots requiring surgery.

Good luck!

Good point. My neck is getting covered so I will leave it alone.
Thanks!

Thanks! I finally had an MRI done last month. Glad I did.
