Settlement Check (edited by Admin) - Virginia
I pray someone will answer this question for me, does settlements checks come by US mail, Fedx or UPS?
I know in Va. the IC has 44 days to deliver, but was told possibly 10 days. About to be evicted - need some help. WC signed off on the settlement on June 2nd.
Thanks for any reply

RE: Sedgwick CMS - Virginia
Did you have a lawyer? If so I think it normally comes to him, he deposits the check in his account and then wait around a week to 10 days for it to clear before he writes you a check for your part

Thanks Manley,
Yes I do have a lawyer, she said it would be two checks ( 1 to her and the other to me). I have read up here about some getting their portion in ten days and some saying they had to wait the entire grace period. Just wondering what method they would use. Thanks for replying.

I don't know how they will ship but I would bet they will go to your lawyer.

you should start your own thread so as not to confuse those who are interested in Tethys2010 question.
make sure you put your state in your profile or in your post as each state has different rules.
