Delayed WC payment
If the worker receives unemployment benefits and then settles the WC case, does he has to pay back the unemployment even if the settlement is for the injury prior to the commencement of the unemployment and is not related? Therefor, there are no double payments, which means the worker is not receiving unemployment and WC for the same period, but due to the slowness of the system the WC payment has been delayed.
Did anybody have to deal with similar situation? Thanks. |

UI may have lein rights depending on the state. the comp court rules on how work comp benefits can be legally dispersed.
