Shoulder Pain

My injury happend in 2001, now been in the WC system for 10 yrs now. Part of my original calim started at a sprain/strain of my left shoulder, Well 2 surgreys and 3 neck disc less, i am having a lot of pain in my left shoulder, My wc dr did and exray of the left shoulder, I now have a bone spur growing in it. He is requesting through wc to do cortizone shots. He does not think they will approve the shots since it was 10 yrs, claim is still open and i am getting ttd payments on this claim. My question for you good Nurses in here can you explain shoulder bone spurs to me the pain and symptoms of them, What happens if i just ignore it and do nothing with it, what damage can be done to the shoulder if ignored, how can it be treated, what type of surgrey can be done like possibly laser or other types. and what would your recomendations be if it was your shoulder. Thanks Nurses for your help as I know from the years on here that you RN'S have offered up some great advice.
