hello to all of you thanks for all the helpful info in this forum.
I have a question..I have been in tdd since july 2008. iam in california, doctor discharged me in november at 25% disability. my atty asked me to call my employer to see if they could accomodate me with my restrictions,and if not he said to apply for unemployment,does any of you think that I will qualify for unemployment? my employer sent me a termination notice in june 2009 due to the company shoting down, however they do own a deferent company in a diferent city,my doctor wouldnt sign my disability form again saying he has discharged me, I do see a different doctor for all my pain medications...can I ask this doctor to sign my disability form and is this legal? thank you.... |

generally for unemployment benefits you have to have recent quarters of wages reported in order to have an account upon which to draw.
you'll have to contact EDD to find out your status. yes your current doctor can approve your form. |
