Boss won't file WC for hubby and I am afraid to do it...
I am in NC and hubby fell a few days ago getting off a ladder and has back pain. His company sent him to a general doctor and he was given a letter limiting his job duties( he works in heavy construction and he is now allowed to walk a little and mostly sit) and ordered Physical therapy. His boss is paying for everything out of his pocket and says he is not filing a Worker's compensation claim because he will lose contracts for the company. His boss feels since this was a small fall that my husband will be fine soon and is really only taking advantage of the doctors notes. What do I do? Thanks. K

sweetheart you cant file for him he has to file for him self...same post different question in title.....I grant you a redhead for a day pass to make your honey understand how important this is to both your futures....make his set his arse down and read some of the stuff on here....then make an appt with a good back Dr if he isnt getting better....9 out of 19 he will be fired as soon as the doc turns him lose anyway.....I am wondering if his boss is even carring WC.......never never never lie about anything WC related..to anyone anytime
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
