RE: Leaving Country due to Family Emergency????

I'm not from Ca but here is what I understand about *going away* here in Illinois. TTD will NOT stop because you are out of town or whatever. WC/IC can not dictate where you go while you are on TTD. However, you MUST stay in compliance with your restrictions, make your scheduled DR appt and PT appointments. If was to want to go away for a more than a day or two I would not be able to as I have PT 2x's a week ordered by my DR. Well, I could go away for longer and then I would miss PT and then I would be out of compliance and I could loose all of my benifits. I know state sites can answer many questions, but not all. If I were you I'd look into the compliance end of it through your state site and see if going away for that length of time would force you out of compliance. If you do go have a safe trip and give your sis many hugs and kisses. dsny1mom |

RE: Leaving Country due to Family Emergency????
grundig Wrote:handless,,,,It start,s out as Cubital Tunnel Syndrome,,,,,The cure for me (as I,m still having Major Problem,s after Surgery)is Ulner Nerve Transposition, It,s Living Hell, as far as Germany,,,,Been there,(for a while), Salach.Co.called, EMAG,anyhow fun part was Auto Bahn, spessartstraBe (K191),170Mph, Audi A6,,,,,Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. WOW it's hard to find someone with Cubital Tunnel. Can I ask you some questions? Docs told me to have surgery but while waiting for wc to approve surgery Physician's Assistant said I will still have problems after the surgery (pain, numbness, etc). He said nerve transposition surgery is not very successful compared to others. This guy used to be a WC physician and is now a assistant physician. When I asked him why the surgeon didn't mention that and he just gave me a look like the surgeon wants the money from the operation. So needless to say I told the surgeon I had changed my mind and didn't say why because the Physician's Assistant asked me not to say anything, he seemed upset that I had changed my mind. Do you think I made the right decision being that you are still having problems after surgery? ? |

RE: Leaving Country due to Family Emergency????
I am curious why you had to pay 100 dollars out of your own pocket for physical therapy treatment. What was the reason YOU are paying for it?
carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

RE: Leaving Country due to Family Emergency????
Hi Handless,
In cali. you don't have to pay for anything pretaining to your medical treatment. And they should be paying you mileage I hope you are writting down everything you do like doctor visit etc. As far as leaving the country I am not sure on that either..did you try calling workers comp appeal board? Good luck and I hope your sister is ok RH |
