Defense Attorney,IC adjuster,Employer
Can anyone tell me how much infuence the defense attorney has in the settlement process, as well as the original employer, I mean I understand it's the insurance that ends up paying but how does everyone elses input figure in.

RE: Defense Attorney,IC adjuster,Employer
It depends to a greater or lesser extent on the insurance policy and the relationship between the lawyer and whoever has decision making authority. Some policies require the employer to pay a large deductible before coverage starts in which case the employer would also have veto authority until the deductible is exhausted. Furthermore, some lawyers work regularly or even exclusively for certain clients and will have a great deal of influence.
