RE: Kind of still.kickinh
What are they giving you for the pain meds? Are they having to give you something for the hives?

Is someone stay at the hospital with you?

Are you allowed visitors?

I was given morphine shots the first 3 days after my TKR, the shots worked great! Then it was oxxy, thats when I started having conversations with myself, wicked stuff!

RE: Kind of still.kickinh
I'm with Jayne and Manley.. If it were not for oxxy I just dont know how I would cope.. I personaly would like somthing stronger, but the doc says not at this time.. But I will say this, vicodin used to work well up to the first year. After other things started evolving they barely take the edge off.. Oxxy isnt cutting the pain away, it just seems to make life somewhat live-able at times..

I was given morphine several times in hospital, but I did like the fentnal IV drip with the sos button, It seemed like 3 weeks went by in 2 days and I guess they caught on and took it away.lol.

BB....... I hope you get feeling better......
