The Old Red Neck returns
Hello all,

I am still here. School has kept me real busy, to busy. I will be glad when it is over. I over extended myself this semester, both mentally and physically. My dr. wrote me a letter to drop three classes, but I was a little to hard headed for that. Maybe to much pride. I did end up dropping two. I will retake them next semester.

I was on campus from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm three days a week. While carring 24 pounds of books. Followed by 9:00 am to 2:00pm the other two days. The mind said keep going, but the back said hell no. Well I wound up dropping two.

Add to that, an infection in the right eye lid. They thought it was a sty at first. I was given a steriod injection. After that didn't work, they decided to treat it as an infection. During that time, I lost vision in the right eye. Followed by the eye lid swelling to the point that I couldn't open the eye. Trust me, that was a real b--ch while trying to study. Anyway, it seems to be under control as long as I take the antibiotics and the steriod packs. I have an appointment with an eye specialist next week.

Anyone care to guess why the government almost shut down??? Maybe it has something to do with medicare sending me a check for $0.17. I over paid one of my dr. visits by $0.17, so they sent me a check.

I noticed someone posted a thread about the snow finally melting. I think it was Bronco. Well I am glad to hear that it is gone. Here in Texas, It is so hot and dry. We are already in water restrictions and the cows are now producing evaporated milk.

I hope all is well with all.

I still have another month of class. Then I will be on more. Both here and on farmville.

Take Care all.

Rebecca is also suffering thru of her class load while piling on the summer classes.....I dont understand you two.....she knows it wears her out....but the drive to get it done outways her bodies need to be pampered a bit.....you know us rednecks used to be thrilled just to go to school one day in our brothers place and call it quits.....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: The Old Red Neck returns
Good to hear from you AQA, I can not imagine trying to study with that infection! I am prone to them and they are awful!

My daughter is taking 16 credit hours this semester, she dropped a science class earlier this semester and added an online class. That online class has been an adventure. Denelle has dyslexia and was having trouble with the online course work so I am helping her with that class, it is also an 8 week course. It's been a real challenge for me with the pain meds I am on.
