I have a stupid question

Hi All,

Stupid question for all, guess I hadn't thought of this before. My lawyer says that I have to request an 'Off work slip' after surgery and then see if they'll pay TTD. Stupid me, I thought I would automatically get paid TTD after surgery until I was released to return to work. That's the way it worked the last time. I actually got paid back 19 months plus. Enlighten me please, (power is off in KS or atleast my brain)

time off cannot be considered due to disability unless it is approved by the doctor. the doctor needs to provide written authorization to be off work.

1171 the knee replacement is court orderd by the WC ALJ.

Problem is the insurance company isn't going to pay anything unless they are forced to.
