I know I asked about CRPS/RSD before, however, I am noticing some very new and different feelings with it. I am now at least 7 consecutive days in a row with intense burning/prickling in my hands (non stop). the prickling has gotten as intense as the burning. It is now moving up my arms past my elbows (more shoulder area). It feels like somebody is pricking me with individual needles..all over and having lightning zaps shooting from hands up arms. My question is...does this mean it may be getting worse? Or do new symptoms pop up whenever they like? I am now getting nervous because it is getting closer to the neck area. I keep a log as to when these symptoms appeared and how long they last, except now they do not go away, just increase and add on. (going to 1st pain management next Friday) .Thanks!

Sonny1, I think the best thing to do is to ask your doctor these questions. It's good that you keep a record of how you have been feeling, so please remember to take your information to the doctors when you go. Ask as many questions as needed, and write them all down so you won't forget. You are your best advocate when it comes to YOUR health. WEBMD.com is a good source for symptoms too. Good luck! |

RE: CRPS/RSD traveling scared*
Sonny,
If it is truly CRPS/RSD as we have discussed, then yes, it is part of the package deal. And yes, CRPS/RSD can do exactly what you are saying is happening to you. I started out with it in just my right ankle (diagnosed Feb 2008 from surgery to ankle October 2007). Over a period of 2 years, it went down into my toes and clear up into my hip and then mirrored itself in my left leg from toes to hip. I have been waiting patiently for 2 years to get medicare through SSDI so that I could start seeing a Dr again for Pain management. I have had an injury to my right arm (shoulder and neck) and I believe that I now have CRPS/RSD in my right upper extremity as well. However, I have been told that what is going on with my left elbow/hand/fingers is being caused by diabetic neuropathy. We shall see if and when I can find a Dr here in my town that will take my medicare insurance plan, as well as medicaid as secondary insurance. Sorry I haven't answered your last PM. It's been a crazy week around here, and you can see from my posts what time I am finally able to get to the forum to help out. I will try to get it answered tomorrow. Although tomorrow is payday for my BF, which means that the bills also need to get paid.. and that is left up to me to do. Be well, stay calm and things will work out as they are supposed to. Angel ^j^ I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane. ************ Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open |

I hope all is well with you and that you get to a doctor soon and get your pain back under control. You must be very strong to have gotten through 2 years with no medical/medication/pain management. I did look @ the site you gave me and WOW, that is the best! A lot of information there to process..but a little at a time!!
