compell to attend Ame exam
I have a so called attorney for my workers comp. He well knows the pain I am in ,from my job related back injury. I received a letter from him for the last scheduled exam (over 3 hours from my home) telling me the exam was cancelled. Then the opposing council requests the court to compell me to attend. I suffer ( and I mean suffer) from nerve damage in my left hip, ruptured lumbar discs and theres more. But then to add insult to injury, this attorneys illiterate office worker ( with a title of " legal aid" in leu of real pay) starts to threaten me on Friday saying I had no choice BUT to go!! I explained that I was on very heavy medication, this my attorney ALREADY KNOWS! The exam was this afternoon and I have slept most of the day from my medications. I already know what a sham workers comp in California is, and I'm sick and tired of the theatrics of these vultures as they circle the corpse. Will that insurance bought old judge suspend procceedings, and what can I list on my complaint form to the ABA, and the (laughable) workers comp appeals board supervising judge?

RE: compell to attend Ame exam
workers comp is voluntary you can walk away at any time.
if wish to continue the claim I suspect you'll likely have to find another lawyer or represent yourself.
if you wish to complain about judicial behavior you should file with the DIR first.
the DWC has an ethics advisory committee which is the first step in handling such complaints.
the form is here
