Future Medical Expenses

My first chemical exposure at work (printing industry in Missouri) was in 2008. Long story short W/C denied my claim due to "pre-existing conditions" (allergy/asthma). My second exposure in May 2010 sent me to the hospital for 3 days. Since then I've been tested for allergies and asthma and found that I have neither. I now have repeated problems with chemical sensitivity and carry an inhaler and Epi Pen since we never know when something will set me off. I was denied short term disability since they say it is work related. W/C has still been denying the claim but I feel we are close to getting that changed. My employer shows me as "unpaid leave of absence" so technically they say I am still employed although I do not get a paycheck. This has caused problems with unemployment and so far I have not been able to get that (next appeal hearing will be sometime in the next several weeks). It is not a question of IF I will have breathing issues in the future but a matter of WHEN. How have others approached this in regards to figuring reasonable future medical expenses that can be applied toward the W/C ruling? Thanks for your help!
