RE: Winter weather
OMG !!! We are having a heat wave !!! Our temp is finally at 34 degrees. The warmest it has been since Monday night when the rain turned to sleet. Our streets are finally thawing out, which means I might be able to get out tomorrow or Sunday. My problem is that I can't wear closed shoes anymore, and the sandles that I wear all the time are to tight with socks (even though it would look awful dorky to wear them).

Randy got out for a bit this afternoon to get a few necessities. But not one store in a 5 square mile has any bread on their shelves.. and this includes our Wally World. So hopefully I can get some (not that we are totally out yet) over the weekend.

PS: AQA no rolling outages for us.. luckily. I guess that people paid attention and turned off all non-essential electrical power. It also helped that so many schools, churches, city/county/state offices and businesses were closed for so many days.

Wow thats a good deal for a repo, with 3 acres... Here in our city vacant land has sky rocketed, we are 4 miles from town and purchased 2 - 1 1/2 acre lots when we built. The lots were zoned recreational and paid $10,000 for each lot. We almost moved just before my accident to sanderson tx, the whole family was moving and was buying a florist. I guess cold feet was the reason then and now our feet are hot.....

RE: Winter weather
Angel I have a bread machine and bread mix in my pantry for times I can't make it to town to purchase bread. It takes about 2 hours to bake a small loaf of bread.

RE: Winter weather
Weather forecast is calling for more snow here Sunday.

It simply can not snow! I have so much to do with surgery in one week and can't be grounded due to the weather.

RE: Winter weather
Oh I feel so guilty like Admin and Sweets have said. All week have taken a long walk with my dog and worn tank top and jeans. Got some Vitamin D, and a bit of a sunburn today

Enjoying this great weather but worried about the rest of you, and what's going on in the world in general.

Hugs to all!

RE: Winter weather
Our heat wave continues Smile It is a balmy 52 degrees at this moment. Most ice and snow (other than the deeper drifts) has melted away. I am getting out in about an hour to go to the store !!! YEAH Me !!! ~L~

I have the front door open and Binkers is laying in front of the glass screen enjoying the sunshine (front of the house faces west). He's been outside more today than he has been in.

I'm going to enjoy today as much as I can. We have a 50% of rain/snow after midnight tonight with highs in the low 30's tomorrow.. and a 70% chance of rain /snow tomorrow morning with all snow tomorrow afternoon. I am praying that this won't be enough this time to close the schools again next week. I'm down to my last few marbles as it is now.
