CA - OMG Taking all Suggestions
First let me preface this with I am on the hunt for a good attorney.
Okay my husband has exhausted 52 wks of TTD (where it came from I am not sure). Problems came up early no meds bills were paid, no Rx's were paid, etc., etc. now he is in need a of third operation and after going to court for hearing we find out that the employer had no WC insurance. Now what?? I am following up with the UEBTF. What else is our remedy? What do you guys suggest? So glad your here. California |

RE: CA - OMG Taking all Suggestions
I went back and reread some of your older posts to refresh myself why the 3rd surgery? and no WC at all? or none now?.....1171 is gonna be your best bet...
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: CA - OMG Taking all Suggestions
if there was no work comp insurance then I suspect it was not TTD but State Disability Insurance.
the Uninsured Employers fund is the best source for "quick" help in such situations. you may also be able to file civil suit against the employer. if you want a work comp atty you should start here: http://caaa.org/cs/default.aspx (use the zip code search) or here: https://www.wilg.org/index.cfm?pg=publicdirectory there are a lot more choices for finding a civil atty http://www.lawyers.com |

RE: CA - OMG Taking all Suggestions
None at all - Amazing I have the response from the WCIRB they were not insured. They had a company that did their payroll, hired their temp employees, etc that was the administrator for 52 weeks but now they are going out of business. It was not State Disability, it was paid through the TPA. Crazy...
What would the civil complaint be? do you know? California |

RE: CA - OMG Taking all Suggestions
damages for the injury as any civil suit for an injury would be.
