I am lost with this
I just spoke to my attorney and he says that there is nothing they can do. I have been ordered to have therapy on my neck .
Case manager supposedly has approved it but she is waiting for a call from Dr. office.
Dr. office cant call "they are independant and they dont call"
I cant have a hearing because I am not entitled to it.

So no one is willing to take the first step. His advice to me was go to another therapist. This group is hadling my surgeries and I trust them. What am I to do? I am in so much pain I can't stand it .
Finally he said he will have somone call therapy to see if they can get this started. I am to call back in a few days to see if they got anything done. But I am not to count on anything
Attorneys office has known for a month that therapy was approved but I just found out.
I want to stay with these doctors but is this what I have to do start all over with doctors that workmans comp approves of .
I have to get back to work and I can't take all this stress,

I also just found out why I am not collectig any money - my company was bothering the doctor so much he asked me if he released me on sedentary duty is there work I can do. I said yes because there was.

So he wrote me a paper saying I could go back to work if there was sedentary work . Company fired me. Now I need a paper from the doctor saying I can't work.
Had I known this for the past 6 months I could have gotten my doctor to send in another paper.
I have papers from Doctor to unemployment stating I can't work but my attorney can't use them. He didnt say why. Just that he can't.

I dont feel I am getting information from my attorney that could help me.
I felt he was very rude on the phone ,
I just spoke to my doctors office requesting a paper saying I can not work.
They will call me back, she wAs very nice but she said I may have to get one from the other doctor ( they are in the same office) .
Any advice.
I made an appt with her while I had her on the phone to se dr for the pain I am in from my shoulder while I am waiting for the surgery.
Right now I feel I am in the middle of a game of:

Big Grin
just my 2 cents:
Wink
As you can see it's not just being able to practice good medicine that's required to be a good doctor anymore-- at least for insurance based medicine. They have to be willing to communicate with a number of other players and accept different rules and go thru paperwork and authorization procedures. It the price for getting the BIG insurance $$.
Some doctors can get away with not doing it and don't mind losing patients to those who will.

Sad state of our health care system that many want to change.
Many states have had to curb absolute free choice and the ability to have someone else pay for it with compromises.

RE: I am lost with this
In Illinois you have a choice of your own Doctor. If your Doctor won't confront the Work Comp IC or Case Manager, then whos fault is this. Not your's, not the Insurance, not the Case Manager, and not your Attorney. It's your Doctor's fault, for you have been approved, and all they want is for your Doctor to call. That kind of sums it up. Get your Doctor to make the call, it is that simple.

RE: I am lost with this
I just called the Doctors office again and they said they are independent, they cant call because it would be solicitating business
and they can't do that. It sounds stupid to me but most of the crap I am getting dealing with workmans comp sounds outragious. I got an appointmnt on the 29th to see Docotr and if by then nothig I will change doctors to thier doctor. they have me over a barrel.

Are you being seen by your Family Doctor for a Work Injury?
If so, it just may be, they don't perform WC Cases.

No he is an Orthepedic Surgeon, and he handles workmans comp.
In fact my attorney when I first hired him said he worked with my Doctor on many cases.
