Understanding vocational rehab
Ok so treating physician believes I am no longer capable of doing my previously held job and recommended I speak w attny regarding vocational rehab. Mentioned to attny and he agreed, sent me to ovr place asap.
So few questions

What is vocational rehab all about?
For or against injured workers?
Can I request retraining/schooling instead of job?

Any info would be greatly appriciated. As I have googled this and found nothing of any help.

Thnx

RE: Understanding vocational rehab
There are varies programs available, but you need to understand that in PA the injured worker has no right to vocational rehab under workers' compensation. The parties are, of course, free to agree to anything, but the IC is not obligated to provide these services. If you are in a union, you may have additional rights under your CBA, so that may be worth a call to your union representative.
