Returning to work!?!?!
My husband got a call from his boss today. She was letting him know she was getting things set up for him for when he returns next week! This was the first we had even heard. He had his Dr appt for his shoulder Wed but his follow up on pelvis and ankle isn't even till Jan 12th. We were completely shocked. He called WC and she told him his boss wasn't to call him yet. They have to arrange transportation for him. He is still on strong pain meds and can't drive but they want him in the office. I don't understand this at all. Under the influence of meds should be a issue. Where I work all meds taken must be reported to medical. We are not allowed on site if taking certain ones either much less allowed to work. I think when he goes back they will see he is not ready. I think it will help him tho. Maybe half days at first. I guess we'll see how it goes. It will be nice getting a full pay check.

RE: Returning to work!?!?!
My work at one point said I had to go home if I needed my pain meds while at work but yet they let one guy work on so much meds he would sleep half the day while at work so I think they can do what they want

RE: Returning to work!?!?!
I am not sure what your state requirements are but here in PA, I was sent a letter from my employer stating that they are happy to hear of my recovery and are looking forward to seeing you on Monday. HA!! I contacted my lawyer who told me that since they were not offering me a job within my restrictions and I have not been released by my doctor to return to my full position that I was not to report to work on Monday when they expected me.
Not sure if it the same within your state maybe someone on here could answer that for you but if you and ur husband have doubts about him returningon heavy meds I would deffinantly be contacting an attorney. |
