Will WC be cut off?
My WC benefits are in WI
I've been getting treated for a shoulder injury that included fractures and possible muscle/tendon injury. I have greatly improved, fracture has healed and now working on strength and ROM with physical therapy. I have been released to light duty work although my ER doesn't have any for me at this time, so I'm still collecting WC. For some reason my doctor now wants to start giving me cortisone injections into my shoulder which I don't want. If I refuse these will I be seen as refusing treatment and my WC stopped? Everything is going so well and I'm healing and I'd hate to mess it up with steroids. I'm a RN so I know what these injections can do and their side effects, how they mask pain and how I could end up injured further due to the medication or overuse of the joint. My doctor told me I'm doing very well with my recovery and taking the normal amount of time, so can I refuse the shots without losing my WC? I've been doing everything else they've prescribed. |

RE: Will WC be cut off?
May I ask why you don't want the injections? They actually helped me somewhat. It depends on the location of the shot (or it did with me); it either was a miracle; or the worst torture I had ever been through.
