Where do I begin in the process?
My daughter was recently splashed in the eyes at work with a biocide/fungicide concentrate. Dicedyl diethyl ammonium chloride. Poison control was called, and she was directed to wash her eyes out for 30 solid minutes and moniter her eyes and vision for problems. Although swollen, and painful, and blood red, they did seem to return to normal after 2 days, although she's having headaches, now. The Osha laws were broken at this business, because no eye protection or gloves were available for the use with this chemical concentrate. Her eyes appear to be okay, but she wants to go to a physician to make sure that there was no damage. Does she tell her employer (who did not seem concerned about her accident (cheap jerk) who guides her about workman's compensation, or, does she go see a doctor, and if there is some damage, then workman's compensation covers the damages? We don't even know where to start, other than filing a complaint with OSHA, of course. Any advice out there??? Thanks!

RE: Where do I begin in the process?
each state has there own rules and procedures.
http://www.workerscompensation.com/forum...?tid=10146
some have strict guidelines controling which doctors can be seen for a work comp claim others are more lenient.
without knowing your jurisdiction it impossible to give you specific advice.
In general all states require the employee notify the employer that they want to see a physician under workers compensation and the employer should advise them of the process.
