Well I had My dr appt today with SS and was deemed disabled but after the appt the doc told me I would still probably be denied due to my age she set my restrictions as follows

no sitting or standing more then 1 hr
no bending ,twisting, climbing, stooping
no lifting more then 10 pounds
no driving
left foot positive for drop foot, Meralgia Paresthetica, l4-l5 radiopathy, l5-s1 radiopathy, failed back fusion

So now I wait to see what really happens I still have my mental examine

RE: SS Disability appt
Your restictions are similure to mine. I am not aware of your age, however; I was approved when I was 39. I hear alot of talk about SSDI approvale and age. I am sure age makes a difference, but my beliefe is that is does not make as much a difference as people make it out to be.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: SS Disability appt
I have also heard the age thing.....I also got approved at a young age (50) you may get turned down the first time but reapply right away......

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

If you are denied, be sure to appeal right away.

I was approved the first time. I was given some advice from the supervisor at the SS office. He told me to call my state rep and have them push my application through. They have a person in each state reps office that handles social security. I did just as he said, and so did one of my friends, and both were approved the first time. My friend was approved in 3 weeks with the state reps help.

good luck!!
