Worker's Comp Pay Question
In Illinois is worker's compensation required to pay wages according to your current work payment schedule? I am usually paid on the 15th and 30th, and WC was late by 4 days on my 15th paycheck.

RE: Had surgery and it was very expensive.. questions
wc will take care of medical bills...just like any other claim the only difference is you also have a third party....WC will go after them to pay back WC the monies they have been out......your lawyer may be able to negotiate a deal between WC and the 3rd party so you can keep some of it.....but dont count on it...you can however go after the drivers home or personal wealth if he has any....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Worker's Comp Pay Question
no
they don't have to keep to the same pay schedule as your employer.
there are many different types of employment: seasonal, temporary, commission basis, volunteer, inmate, part-time, irregular, etc.
way too many to keep track of and duplicate.
comp does not pay wages; it's called disability.
your lost time has to be medically approved before each disability payment is made and that can prevent or delay any scheduled payment.
