dissability rating given!!
today i was at my neuro surgeon office to go over my fce results and my permanant restrictions! and was told i am being given a 10% disability rating for my lumbar and thoracic (i am non surgical) i have to wonder what this means in the grand scheme of things as i am supposed to go to mediation tommorow and they also refered me for a cervical mri! does this rating sound ok because im a lil confused as to how important this is my restrictions are crazy compared to what i used to do they have me at medium duty compared to heavy duty! any input is always appreciated!

RE: dissability rating given!!
No one here is going to be able to answere your question. There are to many variables at play.

I have a list of restictions and was approved for SSDI. I can not work period. I was rated at 10%. I also had another surgey after being rated.

The rating process can be a complicated one. different states use different editions of the AMA guide lines.

Being that you were given a rating. That means you are at the begining of the end of your claim. You have reached (MMI) Maximum Medical Improvement. It does not mean that you are fixed.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: dissability rating given!!
the rating is not final as it will have to be combined with rating value for your cervical.
the florida rating manual is available on line
