VERY CONFUSED
I have been on workmans comp almost 11 years and social security disability for 10. I had back surgery in 2000, 2009 and 2010. My orthopaedic surgeon has sent me to his pain management clinic for rx. I call workmans comp with some questions today regarding yearly forms I have to fill out and have dr sign. While talking he said that my dr sent them a form that I can go back to work light duty. Ha he knows dam well I cannot go back to work. I was declared fully diabled in 2004. I am collecting social security disability and also workmans comp. Unless he changes his info workmans comp will stop. This is crazy. My pain management dr just put me through nerve tests in my left arm and said my neck was all messed up and I still have my leg pain. he is sending me back to regular ortho dr. AT pain management it revealed I have mytonia congentia to add to all this other pain I have. How can he send me back to work when my original orthopaedic dr told me I would never work again, and I have that in writing. I am confused. No way I can go abck to work I cannot even hardly walk. I am currently on oxycodone 15mg 3 times a day and without that I could never walk. Now do I keep my ssi and go with Fers? Or should I get an attorney, thanks for reading.

RE: VERY CONFUSED
I am confused. You say you are on SSI and SSDI. Is that true????
Do you think it was just a coincidence that you call for info. and the IC mentioned what the dr. is saying????? HHHMMMM. Thats something to think about. Did you request a copy of the notification for yourself?????? 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: VERY CONFUSED
thanks for reply. I am on full social security disability and have been on it for 9 years. No I did not get a copy of anything. Nothing was mailed to me either. I do get yearly forms from WP to get filled out. My first dr which I got in 2000 did my first surgery and was under his care from 2000 till 2008 when I moved to fla. This new dr which I have had since 2008 did two back surgeries, last one in March 2010. I still have same problem but he wanted me to get my meds from Pain Management so that is what I did. NO PM dr wants me to go back to Ortho dr to have mri on my neck. So overwhelemd with this.

RE: VERY CONFUSED
workcomip will and say anthing to get you to believe something you know your doctor and what you and your dr. have discussed--
they once did this to me saying my dr said i could return to work and in realty he said no such thing. his reports later showed it but they do this to try and end your weekly ttd making you poor for whatever reason they can come up with so you wil settle quickly. if truly injured stand your ground this system is brutal they will try and get you out of it for nothing dont leave without getting what is owed to you good luck cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

RE: VERY CONFUSED
I did call my drs office today and they said he did send it in I could return to light duty. Should I get a wp attorney? I think he was confused because I just had back surgery in May. I cannot even walk without my pain pills. Why did he send me to Pain Management? He knows I am in bad shape.

RE: VERY CONFUSED
When I had my single level fusion with instrumentation. I was back to work (light duty) in 8 months. The time frame sounds right. However, I/we are not aware of your true medical condition. As far as getting that changed. It will take a medical oppinion to dispute a medical oppinion.
PS. What does WP stand for? I am just curious 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |
