RE: field investigator?
Call your attorney. A field investigator works for the IC. The purpose of the home visit is to get a statement from you.

PS. Please post your state. That is the only way that state specific information can be given.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: field investigator?
New York State. He just poped up at the end of the day. No notice and call. I wasn't home so he left a card at the door to call him. I called and he said he may come by this week. I was never told about any investigator by anyone. I left a message for my attorney to call me asap before the man comes by again.

RE: field investigator?
they provide information; especially from the injured and employer.
generally they take a statement about how the injury occurred and get any medical information (doctor/hospital name, diagnosis, etc.

if you don't provide a statement generally they will litigate the claim and take your sworn testimony in a deposition.

it's your choice how you provide the information.

RE: field investigator?
I don't know enough about your case or the issues to say.
Them calling ahead would seem to indicate they want information rather then evidence that you are working or not disabled.

5 years and no atty !!
Jayne would be shocked and appalled.
in her mind God created attys on the first day (in case there's a mistake during the rest of the week...)

RE: field investigator?
The man never called ahead. He just showed up. I wasn't home. He came after five in the afternoon. Left a card at the door for me to call him. I called and he said that he would come again sometime this week. Maybe Monday. Am waiting for my attorney's office to call back.

After I spoke to him on my cell phone. I noticed that after he came to my house he then left a messege on my answering machine to call him back as well.
I live in the country. He said he drove from the city. A good 70 miles away. Maybe am stressing this too much.

RE: field investigator?
Just my thoughts.

If I were you, I would call him back and ask when he would be arriving. After all, he is making a 70 mile trip. That way you would know when to expect him.

Then The clock starts ticking for you get ahold of the attorney. Even if it means showing up at the attorney's office.

If you are unable to see or speak with the attorney. I would answere the questions as BRIEFLY and SHORTLY as possible.

If you do not want him in your house. Tell him where you will meet him.

Just my thoughts.

1171, LOL (sorry sis).
