New injury, akready on w/c, please help
Hello everyone. I am in Ca. and i have injured my back at work 6 months ago. i have a couple bulging discs and a few other problems all affecting the right side of my body. I am in physical therapy 2 times a week. My Dr. says surgery is not a viable option for me and has not offered any other treatments. My question is, I woke up today in pain as always. I went about my day and while washing dishes i felt the familiar pains of my back goin out only now it is on the left side of my body. I am back to notbeing able to stand and am in tremendous pain. I am wondering what i should do? Is this considered a new w/c injury? Has anybody had to deal with this before? I do have an attorney and havent been able to get a hold of him today. thank you in advance

My opinion is it's the same injury, just that the pain has now moved. I would say get into your doctor. if you can't then go to the Emergency room if the pain is too great.

whether it's part of your original injury, a consequence of your back injury or a new injury is a determination that'll have to be made based on medical evidence.
what does your doctor say?
you can change to any doctor within the carrier/employers MPN at any time.
