RE: Flowers for Sithie...
Monster, they are large plants and the leaves are the same shape as the flower petals. They are beautiful. Thanks Red

Monster,
I didn't mean for you to get out and kill yourself hurrying to take pics and post pics for me........lol. Thanks for posting them, you are on the BALL. I am so amazed at how big they do get........wow. Yes, I think I will have to do large, very large pots. Although, like you said I can manage their growth. I noticed also that the leaves also are shaped like the flower.....that is neat. I'm in when you do order, that is if it ok with ADMIN. Take care and God Bless you sweetie! RE: Flowers for Sithie...
Sweet tooth - they are plumeria, these are the most commonly used flowers for the Hawaiin lei's. If allowed to grow in the right environment such as Hawaii they will get anywhere from 20 - 30 ft high. Mine would get that big if I didn't have to bring them indoors during the winter.
Jayne - as soon as you asked my mind went blank. Give me a bit and I will get back at ya...if you don't hear from me in a day or so PM me or call or something because I totally forgot to remember, ROFL...you can tell school has started I'm already gettin' dumber

RE: Flowers for Sithie...
~LOL~ Monster .. you have one strange sense of humor !!
I wasn't talking about getting the cuttings right away, but when you place your order later this year. You could just add my order to yours and I will send you the money to pay for it, as well as the shipping costs to get it to me here in TX. I think with the color of the house, the white magnolias and the roses that I will be planting on each side of the front porch, the colors of the Marco Polo would be perfect. I won't be getting my rose bushes till early spring, so I could plant them all outdoors at the same time. Of course, I would start the cuttings inside, putting them out during the warmth of the day to "harden" them off (planters vernacular there). I have quite a bit of experience as a gardener, in all kinds of climates, from the Rockies to MI, CA, AZ, FL and NV. I have quite the greeen thumb. Angel ^j^ I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane. ************ Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open |

RE: Flowers for Sithie...
Angel - That variety is very limited. Please google 'jungle jack ...or jungle jacks nursery' and you should come up with a So Cal nursery. They have contact info there...phone number etc. Contact them and see if you can get two of them. I don't know how many they had available. I can't remember how much this was somewhere in the range of 35.00 - 55.00 for the one small plant. I have to run right now, someone is waiting on me...and yes I do have a very strange sense of humor at times, LOL!
