RE: modified work
You did not stir up any conflict that is for sure. Me, I was only answering a question, and then simply saying to another, that we can't assume anything else needed to be answered as it seemed you knew what you were doing as per CA work comp Law and Rules. I have only seen you ask what to File, and what would take place next, plus you asked who has the say so, or right to stop your TTD checks. I was sure if you wanted other information you would ask sooner or later.

RE: modified work
no conflict here just 2 sdes of a coin......WC isnt very IW friendly and without a lawyer it really is gonna be hard for you....1171 is an expert in Calif WC so there is where your questions will be answered....good luck...

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: modified work
well I guess you better call em to see if you have a job to come back to....most jobs are protected only for 12 weeks if you file for FMLA ....unless you are union or your employee handbook gives other details.....

RE: modified work
On the Notice issue;

I in my opinion, would think you need the Medical release, and it should fully outline your work Restrictions. Then that is brought in to the employer, and in many cases the Return to Work Slip would have a date on it, saying at such Date, you are allowed to work, under these conditions.

As for a notice, I really never heard of that before. Doctor's dates as when to return to work I have heard off that.

RE: modified work
Just a recap...I have been able to work since my injury, my company could not accomadate my restrictions..they then offered me modified work-I turned it down-filed out the paperwork to appeal-so I headed out of town-got a call to come into work in the morning they have modified work-so I dont need a dr release(since I have been able to work)-I guess they dont have to give you any sort of notice, if your dr has said you can work with these restrictions, I think since I got no replies to my attempts to find out my work status, and I am not getting paid, I would leave town for a couple of days. Could this get any crazier...the answer sadly is yes after all the stuff I have read on this forum I feel so bad for everyone.
This offer of course came after they received my appeal paperwork

RE: modified work
Is or was this modified work offer within the medical restrictions?
