RE: Need advice
I'm sure this happens in many places of employment, not just yours though.

RE: Need advice
can you prove this? for instance are you female and it was given to a male in a male only job site? such as .....I dont know.....lumberjacks or something like that?( I went blank and couldnt think of a all male field)or a male try to get a job waiting tables at Hooters? (got that one fellas)....other wise its gonna be a rough row to hoe.... you may wanna PM Chris Chris I believe her job site was giving her grief and she is also from California...

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

thanks, I will do that. I was told by one administrater 3 times I had that position. That is what makes me so sick and stressed out right now. They will now expect me to train her for a job that was promised to me. It is very twisted. I have a good work record and ethic and I have gone above and beyond.

RE: Need advice
I thought civil service rules prohibited public employers from stacking the deck against candidates.
other candidates who were more qualified then you would have legitimate complaint if you were given undue preference.

disappointment is not injury.

contact the school board and district officials to file a complaint about the hiring process.
if the administrators are pre-promising jobs and not following equitable hiring guidelines there needs to be a complaint and changes.

RE: Need advice
I had three admin perform my interview for a classified appointment. I thought I was suppose to have one classified on board for my interview. This is what I was told. I was also told I had the job by one on the panel.

Then it seems that the Panel didn't all agree to put you in such position. So, to be honest, verbal promises don't mean much, and anyone in such high positions should have known better, and known it needed to be in writting. I might say, your reactions to this, how it took place, the stress you have shown and all, would stop me from putting you in such a high postion also. If you showed your emotions at Panel members interviews and such that is.
