Very confused...
In Hawaii,

I have waited 6 months for an investigation into my injury. Went to a hearing earlier this month to get my retro pay and start my work comp payments. No ideas on the decision but last week I got a check covering the past three weeks.

Next month I am scheduled for a medical exam by my employer.
I had a MRI in May saying that I had a torn meniscus.

1) does the work comp check mean that my claim is accepted?

2) why a medical exam at this time?

Thanks for the help...

RE: Very confused...
Sounds like you claim was accepted and that is why the check came. They should continue unless they find at the IME (medical exam) you do not have a torn meniscus. You had a doctor exam you, and the Insurance (employer has the right to have you examed by their doctor of choice also. [/b]
