Suprised by the work comp doctor
I had the appointment with the work comp doctor this afternoon and the plan was to place me at MMI today, but this didn't happen.
At the last appointment the doctor said I would be placed at MMI today, the insurance company even sent a letter to my attorney telling him I would be placed at MMI at the next appointment (today) Today the doctor orderd more physical therapy and at least one more ESI. Emotionaly I am ready to be placed at MMI, but at the same time I am happy to get another ESI, this one to be done on the other side. THe doctor scheduled to do the ESI is excellent, explaines everything before it happen. |

RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
Bummer, you said the doctor that did the prior ESI injections done them on the wrong side and you had other thoughts about this doctor. Now, your saying the ESI's were okay, and this doctor is excellent.
That you said even your own primary Care doctor confirmed it was done wrong. Okay, I'm confused.... Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
The work comp doctor said it didn't matter which side the doctor did first, the 2nd one would be on the other side.
Yes, I do think the doctor who did the ESI is an excellent doctor. It took 2 minutes for the doctor to do the ESI once the needle was in, and the doctor explained everything before it happened. This ESI was done at a new surgery center with the latest technology in equipment. This was a BIG difference from the ESI's done in 2007, I was at the surgery center for 6 hours, took 45 minutes for the ESI. The equipment at this pain clinc was old and turquoise in color. |

RE: Coming to a hospital near you
I saw the wc doctor last month, at that appointment he orderd an ESI for the lumbar spine, right side. The ESI was done two weeks ago, it wasn't until after the procedure was done that I realized the ESI was done on the wrong side, left side. I return to the wc doctor in 2 days and will be place at MMI, already told this at the last appointment. So much for getting relief. I see this this what you said here up above is okay with you now. I understand better... I think... Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
Bummer Knees if it helped and u are happy, dosen't matter if left or right was done first...... as long as u are happy it is your body.
I do wish i could get some relief from ESI's I had them in my cervical and my lumbar and they never gave me any relief. Let me restate that I did from one of them get 4 hrs of relief. I can remember that felt like the best 4 hrs of my life. Cervical Fusion 2003, c5-c6. Herniated and damaged Disc L1- L4-L5 S1. Lumbar Spinal Cord stimulator implant 09-2008. Cervical ACDF revision with hardware c4-c5-c6-c7 Sept 2009. SSDI approved 3-2010. NOW OFFICIALY RETIRED |

RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
Thanks CF
I had 4 ESI's in 2007 and saw relief with the 1st and 3rd injection, a big plus as I was able to get some much needed sleep after the injection. The most recent injection was of the lumbar spine, and big suprise; the injection greatly reduced the pain I was experiencing in the left knee (implant) and left foot. I am puzzled there was no relief of the right side with the ESI. |

RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
Bummer, I am not trying to make anything of this. What I was wondering though was where were you going with it, from what you stated on the other thread, as that thread, you didn't seem pleased with what took place was all. I'm not the one writing all this stuff, remember this.

RE: Suprised by the work comp doctor
Bad Boy when I completed the paper work at the surgery center the right side was documented as giving me the most problems.
The doctor wasn't able to do the injection at L4-5 due to narrowing, it was done at L5-S1 instead. Don't know if that has anything thing to do with left vs right. This time I will ask questions before having the injection so that I better understand "things" |
