Approved settlement and still waiting?!?!
Another question for those who can help. Well, we finally got paper work approved by the judge on the 15th of June. We received a part of the settlement but not all. My question is how long does the Insurance company have by law to pay out the total agreed settlement amount to close out this case? It just seems odd to me they pay a part of the settlement but not all? The amount they paid so far is the seed money for MSA. But, have not paid the weeks owed and Attorney fees to settle out. I have called my Attorney and he has called the other side. My Attorney says the other Attorney told him he doesn’t know where the money is and would call him back after speaking with Insurance company after but never did. Thanks for the help anyone?

i guess mine was diff..the checks were handed to me by the judge when i accepted my settlement
SETTLED!!! |

as was mine...I did have to wait 10 days for the check to clear
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....
