rotor cuff settlement
I've had 3 surgeries on my right shoulder and the doc said I need lattisamos surgery,which is a major surgery and won't give a guarantee that I will be back 100%. Right now I'm at 39% disability and the settlement offer came back at $32,000 with the lawyer taking $10,560. I'm 61 and still wanting to work. I just cannot lift anything 10# or more above my shoulder. I'm still in good shape but this surgery will put me down for over a yr. with PT and all. I have a choice to do the wage loss and if I cannot find anything within my limitations I can do the non-working wage loss. I was grossing 2200.00 a mo. while on TT and the settlement I'll end up with is only a yrs salary. and no future medical. What would be your advice? I have 30 days to accept this offer.
