25% Full Body Impairment South Carolina
Just about to go to my informal conference where they will make me an offer for my case and i cant find anywhere on the WC site for SC how many weeks they will pay me for a 25% full body impairment. Had a fusion at L5-S1 18 months ago. Please help me figure out how many weeks so I have an idea if they are giving me a fair offer. Thanks

[/b]The commission, by regulation, shall prescribe the ratio which the partial loss or loss or partial loss of use of a particular member, organ, or body part bears to the whole man, basing these ratios on accepted medical standards and these ratios determine the benefits payable. Under 50% is payable up to 300 weeks. Doesn't mean the commission will award a settlement of 300 weeks though, so it can be lower then 300 weeks.

Thanks for the response. I read the rules about 300-500 weeks. Will they also consider future medical expenses? My co-workers have had the same injury and they tell me they settled for anywhere from 75k-100k. Does that seem to be the average?

Facciato, trust me, every single case is, and will be different from the next, even if the injury is the exact same. You can only get a general idea of the amount, as it will never ever be the same from someone elses. You need to talk with your attorney about future medical, and make sure that is worked out first before settling anything.
