Time Limit To File?
Hi Folks. Over the past year, have had off and on problems with my back. About six months ago, found out that my problem is a sciatic nerve and 2 degenerative discs. Tried to work through the pain but now MD. says that I need surgery. He has deemed that my occupation has exacerbated the problem. Should I encounter any problems from my employer because I did not report problem sooner?I am a federal employee in Ca.

I have had 14 back surgries between the years of 2/2000 and 8/2008.My MMI rating was done after my 4th or 5th surgery. Does anyone know if I can request another and if so , how.My MMI was 28% then. I have had 9 or 10 surgeries since my rating and I don't know where to go from this point. Who do I need to call?? Anyone have a suggestion PLEASE let me know

RE: Back injuries
gator:
you should post on your own thread so as not to confuse other readers.

most jurisdictions will not cover exacerbations under comp.
an aggravation is different. you will need supporting medical evidence of employment casuation.
you can get more information on federal comp laws here
http://www.dol.gov/owcp/index.htm
the feds have a number of separate comp programs depending on the type of employment.
