insurance company is sneeky

Im new to this forum so hi everyone, I dont want to make this long n boring so ive been reciving comp since about 2006, I just recently went for back surgey about 3 mths ago witch seemed to make everything worse. I havent been able to drive so my checks that I was reciving werent cashed, its was 3 checks i belive the insurance carrier had the PI call me and try to meet me at my house, I had my lawyer call them twice but he still came to my house. He actually knocked n just opened my door i told him i couldnt talk to him without my lawyer presant n when he left he knocked on my neighbors door trying to find out about me. Is the insurance carrier allowed to send a PI out to my house in New York state after the fact my lawyer called n told them not to, and what should i do besides calling my lawyer.

if things look fishy or if you are gonna cost them alot they are gonna send someone....are you sure this want a NCM? (nurse case manager) they sometimes send em to try and help.....some do some make it a whole lot worse....

yes, they are allowed to obtain any information relevant to your claim for benefits.

Was definitley a Pi he called several times, but my lawyer called him n told him not to come that we could set up a mwwting at his office. I assumed they were trying to get some pictures or find out what my days are like. I live in a private complex n was told to just call the cops. It almost seems that my lawyer is working for them. My surgey left me walking with a cane and cant do much of anything. Thamks for the reply.

I would bet its a NCM not a PI...NCMs can speed up your case to a dizzy speed getting you everything you need and sometimes selling you out also so be careful with them they are a two edged sword......most PIs try to never let you see them....good ones anyway...welcome to this site please come on over to "off topics" and play we just chill over there...
