Nerve Block
So I went to the surgeon today and he refered me out to a PM to get nerve root block L 4-5 and L5-S1 I was told I would be in a twillight. Has anyone had this done and did it help? I am also going in July for Nerve Root decompresion surgery again anyone had this done?
any and all advice would be great.

Also my Lawyer wanted me to go see a doc he recomends but when i looked this doc up he had issues with repermands per the Medical assoc. So i decided I did not want to see this doc and now my Lawyer is Mad. Why would he want me to see a doc that I dont feel comfertable seeing? thought that was strange anyway Thank you again and please ignor the spelling I am horriable at it LOL

RE: Nerve Block
your lawyer is trying to manage your settlement and you are trying to manage your health. at times the goals are conflicting.
you may have to decide which needs to come first.
luckily in most cases you can easily and quickly change attys.

The Story of My ESI Shots is a Long One Grumpy, but I had to Endure a Total of 36 Shots in the Lower Back without Twilight, and it didn't Work for Me due to Scar Tissue! I do know of Others that have had Success Though. From what I've Gathered Decompression Procedures and Their Results are still out with the Jury as far as I'm Concerned.

As far as Your Dr. always Remember that This is Your Health and Body, and You should have a Say in Who Actually Treats You. I know Regs. and Rules Must be Followed, but You should also have a Say in this. Speak with Your Attorney again, Maybe You Two can Come to an Agreement on a Dr., if not as 1171 Mentioned, You can always Change Attorney's! Best of Luck!!Wink

I know from my posts and freebird's comments that it hurts.... They cannot give you anything to relax for they need your input while doing it.
grumpyone, it does hurt and no one can tell you different. But I have had worse pain with my injuries and it really does not take that long.. They say an hour and its probably 30 to 40 min pre op and then once they stick the big needle in and find the right nerves, its only 90 sec per nerve as long as they know what they are doing..........

RE: Nerve Block
Bronco, you are correct, as a nerve block is different, my mistake, and takes for pointing that out to me. I simply misread it.
