i was wondering if anyone would know,if you apply for disability thru ssa while under w/c,would the persons employer find out that information thru the insurance co.and if a person is granted disabilty from ssa do they find that out as well?

I did all the above....But do not know if employer found out and really don't care if they do. what are they going to do if they find out??

just wondering if you are found disabled under the ssa,if w/c can still try and get you to go back to work.i don't really understand how all this really works.

Sure they can, work comp and SSA work in different ways.

Work comp only looks at the body part(s) approved for treatment per the work comp injury.

To qualify for SSA one must be totally disabled under their guidelines.
Social Security Admnistration takes the whole body into consideration when qualifying a person for SSI or SSDI.
