RE: placed at mmi today
in pain...my TTD was stopped when their IME Dr said I was MMI and to go back to work...I had restrictions.....my checks stopped.....it was another year before I saw another dime and it was my settlement.....new laws have been put into effect since then...But if your primary Dr released you MMI....then I would be talking to the PM Dr quick...listen to your lawyer he/she will know best
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: placed at mmi today
I do hope your payments continue. I know in my state, once you are placed at mmi. You get a rating. Reguardless of a PM dr..
I was placed at MMI in August of 07. I got my rating then and I still see my treating dr. and a PM dr every three to four months. My payments ended when I was placed at MMI. Now would be a great time to educate yourself on your state laws and rules. I am not saying that your attoreney does not have your interests at heart. I am saying it is best to make sure yourself. Take Care 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: placed at mmi today
I have been at MMI for over 2 1/2 Years now inpain, and as long as My PM Dr.is Treating Me, and I am still Fighting My Case in the System I Receive My TTD Payments. I have had 6 Job Offers by the Defense to try and get Me Either a Lowered TTD Rate, or get Me a Job with the Co. They Use to do PI Work for the Defense Attorney, so They can Figure out a Way to Fire Me, Heck I'm still Employed at My Place of Injury, They Never sent Me a Termination Letter. Because My Dr. was Proven to be More Credible, and the w/c Judge in My First Case Ruled I couldn't even answer the Phone and Make Copies for 4 Hours a Day 5 Days a Week, with a Leather Couch and a Blue Tooth for when I Needed to Lay Down, and even went to My Employer and Looked at the Job Station Themselves, I Still get Paid! You should be O.K. for now, just Double Check with Your Attorney, He's the One You need to Trust to Carry the Torch for You! Good Luck!
I Wish Everyone in the World would Take just One Minute to Take a Deep Breath and Look at the Wonders around Them. Too Much Time caught Up in the Moment can Cause Us to Miss soo Much that is Good, and given Us Daily! We are just too Busy to See! |
