RE: placed at mmi today
It depends.
You can be MMI for years and still get the occasional injection, meds, PT etc or MMI status may be held while still involved in active care that has some reasonable likelihood of resolving the treated condition

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: placed at mmi today
doesn't make sense that you can be at MMI and have temporary restrictions at the same time.

RE: placed at mmi today
Inpain, from what I am reading, is your doctor didn't release you to work, but supplied restrictions, and then placed the rest in the hands of the PM doctor. I will think the PM doctor is going to make some kind of decision now.

MMI I have seen can be somewhat strange.

As here, your having a doctor of some kind saying MMI. I'm thinking their saying, them as a doctor can't do anymore for you, yet saying maybe the PM doctor can.

This is an issue you can only wait out, and see what path it is going to take now. But, your medical is going to continue.

RE: placed at mmi today
i am more concerned about my ttd and being able to pay my mortgage and dont see how they can stop my ttd when the dr is saying there is something that can be done for my pain but theres nothing else he can do..the dr said he will leave it up to my pm dr as to when and how my pain management will be delt with and said he will put in his notes that further pain management is needed

RE: placed at mmi today
That's correct this doctor pushed it all onto the PM doctor.

And most times we do get paid to perform voc rehab also.

Sounds like your attorney is correct.

i dont know 1171 he basically asked me what i wanted to do with that if i wanted perm restictions he said i would have a hell of a time finding a decent job that would take them so he came up with the temp resrictions for 3 months to see how i do easing back into work then they will be lifted after that assuming all goes as planned
