advance payment
Hello all,
Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question, state California. I spoke to my attorney's office for a settlement advance of 1,000 for a hardship. That was 1.5 weeks ago. Every time I call attorney office, I'm told haven't heard anything yet. Is there anything else I can do. I really need the money. Thanks |

Not a single thing you can do. You can't force the hand of the IC to just hand out an Advance of a settlement.

if you are still on TTD the carrier is not legally obligated to also make permanent disability advances.
the only other thing you can do as a very short term solution is request an early payment of your TTD check. if they know you will be TTD for awhile they may be willing to give your next check early. are you submitting your medical milage regularly? some aren't aware that doctor and pharmacy and PT visits are paid: http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/I&A_mileageForm.pdf |
