Dipweed, I am so glad you are ok! Sorry you had such a scare. It sounds like surgery and recovery are going well. Way to go!

Dipweed....I am so sorry. I am in a bad frame of mind right now. I wanted to tell you that the powder on a pad really helps and forgot to tell you i am so glad you're OK. You have become a real benefit here. God bless.

This will look very odd. Me, a man, go to pharmacy to get pain med refill, a strong narcotic at that, and a box of pads...
I think i'm gonna get some odd looks on this trip. I doubt it is hair growing back, or an ingrown hair, as i have never shaved my armpits.... but it sure is irritating! Thanks for all the advice. sorry if this reply is not make sense, i think chest cold is gettin worse, and have a mild headache. will take pain med when due @3 and try to nap. ahhhhhh! armpit feels, well... dry! I got the wife to pick up a pack of the ultra thin ones, took off the plastic thats on the stickey side and folded it in half.
![]() it stays in place nicely.Oh, someone mentioned something about watching my BP. The people doing the chemically induced stress test said if i was on the treadmill and it was that high, they would tell me to keep going. With weighing 215lbs and being 5' 11" most doctors and nurses are supprised how low my resting BP and heart rate is. they all ask if i work out, and are shocked when i tell them no. But i have never liked salty foods, so everything even if i eat at mcDs ia no salt please! Avatar thanks to WINK! |

Dip, what we suggested at the hospital was cornstarch mixed with baby powder equal parts on the pad and it worked well.
When I lived at home my mom, 4 teenage girls we had my dad always stop and pick up pads and he would always buy the king size boxes, Hoping they would lastlonger, Poor Guy he was out numbered, would come home from work on a hot day before every one had air and find us all running around the house in our undies to stay kool. He laughed and said he lived with the Bra Brigade. My dad had the patience of a saint. When doing a stress test they always want to raise your B/P wether on the treadmill or drug induced if you can't do the treadmill. This is why it is called a stress test to check out you heart. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

Don't feel bad if you have to buy feminine hygiene items. My husband married me knowing he would have to deal with three females. The first time he had to buy "girl" stuff was when I had my surgery. Of course we needed three different items. When he came home and told me his story (we live in a very small town) I laughed so hard I thought I tore my stitches. He's slowly getting over the experience.

in case any one is curious at all, here is my surgon's bio. He is a very good doctor, and the rest of the staff there are great too. http://osamichigan.com/osamichigan/Doctors_Adelman.aspx
I was being a little goofy about the pad issue. it doesnt bother me a bit. when my wife had a yeast infection i went to the store to get her the store brand monistat. I guess im lucky that i take advantage of my company's FSA program for medical expenses. Had no clue til today that reusable ice packs are covered on that. If this new one works better than the other ones i had got, that only stay cold for less than 10 min after bein in frezer overnight, i'll go get another one. that way i can keep it on 20 min 20 min off and rotate them out. Thanks for all your support, and ill be sure to get a box each of baking soda and corn startch... what i dont use of the corn starch iwill use when i want gravey!
